Hiking in Truckee

This has been an incredible summer for hiking in the Truckee area. Steve and I have done some amazing hikes, and it just seems to take the simple commitment of taking one day a week and designating it for exploring. This summer we have hiked to Maggie's Peak (our wedding site), Church's Cabin (still needing snow shoes), Five Lakes out of Alpine Meadows, Mt. Judah Loop near Sugar bowl, Castle Peak, and last weekend we hiked for me the first time out of Alpine Meadows to the Five Lakes. The hiking just goes on and on...and we love it. It opens the body and the spirit!

Abe says: When you are really tuned in, tapped in turned on, there is not that other edgy stuff, what is that about? Remembering how far you have come? You can’t be remembering how far you have come and be in the new place at the same time. It might be some of that yes? ……

Guest: On this day in particular I am very very appreciative of being here now and all the wonderful things that I get to experience and to me it is because I changed my chronic thoughts and I deliberately chose new ones that served me. (She is crying the whole time). Abe says: Yes

More of Abe: You are experiencing perhaps the best example of gratitude we have ever seen, but you are not in a state of appreciation. And the subtle difference between gratitude and appreciation is gratitude is looking back at what you have overcome, appreciation is looking forward to the becoming of that which you have set into motion. Nit picking perhaps, but really worth talking about.

Where does the time go?

I have spent the better part of today, 7 hours, sitting at the computer watching webinars, making mistakes, and practicing blogging skills. Yikes, it is incredibly time consuming. In my professional life, there are so many places I am still showing as an owner of Pacific Crest Properties, when in fact that company is gone and I am now a sales agent working at Coldwell Banker. Lots of places referenced PCP, and I have been scooping all of those places out! Anyway, I'm beat, but couldn't resist posting on this blogging site where I used to be a "radical realtor" until I realized that I can't use the word realtor in that way. I think I found all the places to change my description to Radical Real Estate...which still makes my point. I love selling real estate and pride myself as being radical: departing markedly from the usual or customary. Also I have a new association at work with my daughter, Megan Jitloff since we have formed the Evans-Jitloff Group Can I blend my real estate business with my love for Radical Forgiveness and the Law of Attraction? I believe I can because both are who I am.

The Power of Alignment

This is a transcription I made after hearing what for me was a very powerful exchange between Abraham and a fellow named Blake.

A question about having the intention to have a relationship experience with someone in particular, when that person may not be interested in having a relationship with you as you have intended.

This is about having a relationship with his daughter where he is the interested party in having a relationship with her however she has a parent who has other intentions with regard to how she raises the child and the access.

So if he has the intention and sees himself having the relationship and it hasn’t manifested yet, is it possible that because the opportunity hasn’t existed and maybe in the end his intention to have that will not manifest because she doesn’t have the same intention and so it can’t exist?

Abe: The most important thing is reminding you of the power of alignment. We want to say to you unequivocally that if this time space reality has the wherewithal to inspire a desire within you, it has the wherewithal to deliver it. Now if you were talking about a romantic relationship you would hear us say something like “use this basis about defining what you want but don’t get too hung up on the details on who shows up to fulfill it.” Wanting to be in love means you could be satisfied with someone. Etc. etc.

But when we are talking about someone who is your blood line, your child, then for us to say “get into the vortex” and a child will show up in your life, would not be as satisfying. As you wrestle with the details about what is going on with the child’s mother, you are queuing up a stronger and stronger relationship with this child; you are creating a very strong vibration that the entire universe is assisting you in accomplishing. So unless you are doing something that causes you to be in a vibrational war with your own vibration, then the Universe is going to knock itself out in accommodating what you want. But if you let the current reality get your attention and then that gets your goat, as you begin to feel the injustice and the sorrow of not being able to get it into shape, as you begin to feel the injustice and keep that active and alive in your vibration, the most significant thing you are doing is now you are not a match to your own desire because you have introduced all this resistance to it. Because a person with resistance in their vibration is paltry and miniscule “powerwise” in comparison with a person with no resistance in their vibration because when you are aligned with your desire, with your dreams, with what is rightfully yours, when you are aligned you are a powerful being and amazing things will come to pass to bring it about. So you say maybe this child will never know me…….in the way that I have the desire…we want you to know that when you stand in the vortex as you are so capable of doing and you hold anyone like this child as your object of attention from inside the vortex you create a vibrational relationship with this child that will come about in terms of manifestation unless you do something to break the vibrational relationship yourself.

These are powerful words and we are not kidding you about this and the reason that are so many stories to the contrary is because you almost never meet anyone under these conditions who is true to their own desires because they are too busy with “what is itis.” They are too busy telling it like it is, feeling bad about what it is, beating the drum of what is, feeling the unfairness of what it so they keep that active and don’t stay pure to their true intent. But you can, you can stay true to your desire and intent and there are so many stories…first of all this mother wants what is best for this child. And though she might now not be calling you as best for this child all of that is up for grabs, all of that is changing stuff. You don’t have to convince her, you don’t have to convince the courts; you don’t have to convince anybody. All you have to do is stay true to your own desire and it will trump EVERYTHING, it would trump the Supreme Court, it trumps everything! Alignment with who you are is huge , huge, huge. You have energy that creates worlds at your back, carving out details and opportunity, you see.

Is there any value that is coming out of this discordant experience that I have been living? We say Big Time value!

When you want something as much as you want this and are willing to line up with the idea about it because it is the only way that you can feel peace, something that you care that much about will tear you apart if you don’t find alignment with the thought of it… it will serve you not only with this subject but relative to your understanding of what alignment really is. And that is the prebirth bargain that you struck with this child. You said “let’s go forth and let’s become important to each other, let’s not make it easy and let’s teach each other about alignment.” It’s the greatest gift that anybody could give to anybody.

What's Going on in Truckee Today??

One would think that this is "in between seasons" time, which it is. However, as far as I am concerned there is never a down time in Truckee. I got my house stained last week. It took almost two months of changing the date because it kept raining and now snowing! But other than a little bit of trim work left to go, it looks awesome. So now that means whenever I can get home while it is still light out, I need to get everything stored away. For the big staining project, everything came off the deck and got unloaded into the side yard. It brought back some fun memories of sitting in front of the "chiminea" this summer, eating s'mores with Colby when he would come for a sleepover! The heat lamp is up again, filled with propane and ready to go. The snow shovels are out on the front and back decks. The trees and shrubs are tied up for their dormant time. And I have been scrambling looking for my hats and gloves. The Truckee River is moving along at a healthy pace and I will soon be firing up that heat lamp and sitting on the deck under the beautiful mountain sky enjoying the cold night air.
I bought my Tahoe Donner Cross Country Pass, but it is in between seasons for some outdoor activities. Not enough snow to go out skiing, and a little icy for a brisk walk. But, The 34th Annual Turkey Trot is tomorrow down at Donner Lake. That is a wonderful event! The seasonal transitions are so amazing in this town, work to do and always fun to continue having. I am on the sales floor at Pacific Crest Properties today, but my intention is to get outside tomorrow and enjoy something. My knees won't allow me to trot like they used to, but I don't plan on letting anything hold me back from having some fun. Even if it means I will be enjoying myself raking up the leaves that have fallen all over my lawn from the cottonwoods!

The Beauty of the Seasons

Last weekend in downtown Truckee where I live, the leaves had barely begun to pop from the trees. This morning it is incredible, the tail end of spring the the beginning of summer have finally arrived! I sit in full appreciation of the power of the seasons and how they show themselves in this beautiful high altitude town. The river is raging, the springs are flowing in and feeding it some more and the green of the fresh leaves is breathtaking. Today is a great day to explore the mountains and take a hike!

Donner Lake Morning

I was driving to the Donner Lake Area this morning to check out a house for a client and had to stop when I took a look at Donner Lake. After a week of storms, it's hard to believe how beautiful and calm the Lake looked. It inspired me to get ready to swim it one more time this summer.

Truckee Jiboom Street Toastmasters

I am a member of Toastmasters, an International club whose focus is to help members find comfort in public speaking, and "public" can be friends at a dinner party, not necessarily a large crowd. I joined to help me with my passion as a Radical Forgiveness Workshop Leader and coach so that I could find ease in front of a group as well as interfacing often with clients and associates in real estate. It has been fantastic! I can even tell a joke now without giving away the punch-line before reaching the end of the joke. I have also met some great new people which has been fun since Truckee is such a small town, I used to think I knew everyone. Not so!
Toastmasters is sponsoring a wonderful community project to assist people who are out of work, in learning how to get through the interview process comfortably (or as comfortably as possible). I am hopeful that with this outreach, we will be able to see some folks successfully speak about themselves and their personal assets which could benefit an employer.

Me and Facebook

I can only laugh at myself, because otherwise I would be beating myself up all of the time! I just had a meeting with my really good friend Chris Tinney of Reno, NV. Chris is behind the concept and opening of the Spread Peace Cafe, coming May 1. He agreed to help me clear out my 58 year old brain in order to wrap my head around social networking. Well I learned a key feature of Facebook that I had never been aware of! NOTES!! Not only was I not entering my own, I was missing such a fabulous feature available to me about all of my FRIENDS on Facebook. I have a big project now, which I am going to absolutely love as I travel through the sites of my friends and get my Notes up to date! Chris and his wife Tysha are so much fun, who would have guessed, brilliant as well!

Vacations - An Absolute Must

I just got back from a week long cruise along the Mexican Riviera. The timing was perfect, right after a week of constant weather and the arrival of about 4 feet of new snow here in Truckee, California. I was prepared for stormy seas, but was fairly certain it wouldn't be snowing on the cruise ship the Sapphire Princess so I was a happy camper from the beginning. Have I mentioned before my firm belief in Law of Attraction? That was why it was so important for me to see a perfect vacation on the horizon. In line with my belief in LOA, I chose to go on a cruise which had 11 hours with Law of Attraction specialists, Esther and Jerry Hicks. That was such a perfect way to relax and rejuvenate with the incredible energy of Esther Hicks and Abraham.

What is most important however is to see not only the benefit of taking a vacation, but appreciating the benefits that will be returned to everyone that I do business with from this point forward, until the next vacation comes around. Real estate can be a challenging business and I don't know how else to unwind and refresh better than getting away from cell phones and computers. It was amazing, and something I realize I have not done enough of in the last 19 years.

The adventure highlight of the trip.....zip lining in Puerto Villarta. Now that was a rush!

A New Year!

This was my first Thanksgiving without a Turkey...a first Christmas without a tree...and an upcoming year that I see waiting without contrasting New Years Resolutions! I'm not sure what is in store, but it feels really big and really exciting!

Watching the News

I'm looking for some support from my friends out there in cyberspace! I just can't seem to get to the television to keep up on the news. I used to just purposefully not watch the news, but a couple of years ago Colin Tipping suggested it was a good practice in order to do what we call in Radical Forgiveness, a reframe. My intentions have been good, but I just run out of time. It has been suggested I go on line, but I am sitting at my computer so much, I just forget. I'm looking for some buddies, to keep me updated because I know there are lots of you out there that just simply stay well informed!

Yikes - a lost purse!

It was such a bummer this morning. I was late for work and distracted so I pulled out of my driveway not noticing that the back door to my SUV was standing open. When I finally realized why the warning light was flashing and pulled over to close it, I found a snow shovel jamming it so it wouldn't close. I drove to the post office, opened the back door to grab my purse and it was gone!! I drove back (about 1/4 mile) immediately to retrace my steps and there was no purse to be found. Big Bummer - wallet, cell phone, camera, ipod, all in my purse. I waited for two hours, cancelled all my credit cards and then I got a call. Esteban Lopez found my purse, called me, and very sweetly refused a reward. I was sooo appreciative, I made him take it. We had coffee and I found out he is out of work so now I really want to help him as much as he helped me. He is a handyman and a painter...so I am intending to help him find something.

Spokane, WA for Radical Manifestation

A Social Community

My intention is that it will be a fun place for us to check in, post events and experiences. Hopefully it will replace my last minute gmails about what is coming up! a new website

I love the color purple. I have a little book my daughter made with the help of her first grade teacher. In it she says "I love my mom." "She works a lot." "She never spanks me." "Her favorite color is purple." "She loves me." Yup, I still love purple and I still love my daughter Megan. My new website, which was just posted today is all about me and purple! I hope lots of people check it out! I love selling real estate, but I also am passionate about Radical Forgiveness as it has absolutely changed my life. I never thought I would have this much energy and it all has to do with taking care of myself and letting others do the same. What a concept!
